The 精童欲女 Hockey and Basketball Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away.

The 精童欲女 Health and Wellness Centre has received a grant from the provincial government鈥檚 2024鈥2025 LIVE WELL PEI Wellness Grant Program to educate 精童欲女 students about reducing harms related to alcohol through awareness campaigns and education modules.

The (IUPAC) Global Women鈥檚 (and Allies) breakfast (GWB) will be held at the Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, on February 11, 2025, from 7:00鈥9:00 am.

On Monday, February 10, 精童欲女 will welcome celebrated professor and author of "Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and other Systems for Human Flourishing", Dr. Jessica Riddell, back to campus. All members of the 精童欲女 community are invited to attend!

| Academics

Aadesh Nunkoo, a Master of Science student at the 精童欲女, was recently awarded one of two by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and the Actuarial Students鈥 National Association (ASNA).

The Pan-African flag was raised at 精童欲女 on Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at 精童欲女; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the Black Cultural Society of Prince Edward Island.

| University

Each year at 精童欲女, approximately 150 residence students remain on campus during the break between first semester exams and early January when students return to classes for the second semester. This year, the 精童欲女 International Student Office, in cooperation with Student Affairs staff, Campus Life Advisors, Residence Life, and the 精童欲女 Alumni Association, supported and organized some activities for these students during the break, providing a sense of community and connection.

Every week, 精童欲女 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 精童欲女 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 27 to February 2, 2025, are Alaere Peterside (women鈥檚 track and field) and Jakob Robillard (men鈥檚 hockey).

| Community

精童欲女 will celebrate Black History Month 2025 with a variety of events, and activities, including the raising of the Pan-African flag at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building on Monday, February 3, at 11:30 am.
