Important dates for students in residence. Note: Not all programs follow these dates. Please check with your program, and check with Residence Life if you have a conflict.

August 2026–April 2027 

August 2026

• August 26, 2026 – AVC student Move-In. 

September 2026

• September 4, 2026 – Fall Semester Move-In.
• September 8, 2026 – Fall Classes Begin.
• September 13, 2026 – Final date to apply to graduate for Fall Semester.
• September 18, 2026 – Final day for registration, for changing courses or sections, for cancellation of courses or sections, for cancellation of courses with full refund.
• September 22, 2026 – All Fall Semester Fees Due.
• September 30, 2026 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. No classes.

October 2026

• October 12, 2026 – Thanksgiving Day. No Classes.
• October 13-16, 2026 – Mid-semester break. No classes. (Does not apply to EMBA).
• October 30, 2026 – Last day for discontinuing courses – 50% tuition refund. No discontinuations after this date. 

November 2026

• November 11, 2026 – Remembrance Day. No classes.
• November 30, 2026 – Final Date to apply to graduate for Winter Semester. 

December 2026

• December 9, 2026 – Final Day of Fall Semester Classes.
• December 11-20, 2026 – Fall Semester Examinations.
• December 21, 2026 – Fall Semester Residence Move-Out.
• December 23, 2026 – End of Fall Semester. Course grades to be submitted to Registrar’s Office by noon on this date.
• December 21, 2026 – January 10, 2027 – Residence Winter Break Accommodation Period. 

January 2027

• January 10, 2027 – Winter Semester Move-In.
• January 11, 2027 – Winter Classes Begin.
• January 22, 2027 – Final day for registration, for changing courses or sections, for cancellation of courses or sections, for cancellation of courses with full refund.
• January 26, 2027 – All Winter Semester Fees Due. 

February 2027

• February 15, 2027 – Islander Day. No Classes.
• February 16-19, 2027 – Mid-semester break. No classes.  
• February 16, 2027 – Registration begins for 2027 Summer.
• February 22, 2027 – Classes Resume.
• February 26, 2027 – Last day for discontinuing courses – 50% tuition refund. No discontinuations after this date.

March 2027

• March 26, 2027 – Good Friday. No classes.
• March 29, 2027 – Easter Monday. No classes. 

April 2027

• April 13, 2027 – Final Day of Winter Semester Classes.
• April 16-26, 2027 – Winter Semester Examinations.
• April 27, 2027 – Winter Semester Residence Move-Out.
• April 29, 2027 – End of Winter Semester. Course grades to be submitted to Registrar’s Office by noon on this date.
