Draft Framework of the 精童欲女 Strategic Plan (2025鈥2030)

Dear 精童欲女 Community Members,

In September 2024, 精童欲女 launched a five-phase process to develop our next five-year strategic plan.

Each phase of the process has been anchored in consultation with our University and community members. In total, more than 700 participants have provided us with input, ideas, and candid feedback to help shape 精童欲女鈥檚 focus for the future.

PRIDE FEST 鈥25 begins July 25鈥擩oin the 精童欲女 community at the PEI Pride Parade, July 26

While Pride Month is celebrated in June in many areas of Canada, Pride is recognized on PEI and at 精童欲女 in July as part of the national summer-long 鈥淧ride season.鈥 

Dr. Elizabeth Epperly, LLD and Professor Emerita, named to the Order of Canada

Dr. Elizabeth Rollins Epperly鈥攁lumna, Professor Emerita, and the first woman to serve as president at the 精童欲女鈥攈as been named to the Order of Canada by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada.

Among 83 appointments to the Order announced on the eve of Canada Day, Dr. Epperly was made a Member for her contributions to elevating the works of internationally renowned Island author Lucy Maud Montgomery, most well known for her novel Anne of Green Gables, in Canada and around the globe. 

精童欲女 celebrates the achievements of faculty and staff

Members of the 精童欲女 community filled the 精童欲女 Performing Arts Centre amphitheatre on May 29, 2025, to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues. During the event, the University Awards of Excellence and 25-Year Service Awards were presented to faculty, librarians, clinical veterinary professionals, clinical nursing instructors, sessional instructors, and staff members.

精童欲女 Board of Governors approves balanced student-centric budget

On May 27, 2025, the 精童欲女 Board of Governors approved a balanced for the 2025鈥2026 fiscal year, despite a challenging financial environment primarily caused by federal immigration policy changes. The operating budget is just under $202.9 million, representing an increase of $20.4 million or 11.2 per cent over the previous fiscal year.
