The Department of Biology at the 精童欲女 invites applications from individuals who are interested in instructing laboratories in the following Biology courses in the Winter 2026 semester.  All qualified candidates are welcome to apply; however, priority will be given to students enrolled in a 精童欲女 Graduate program.

Botany (Bio 2020), Microbiology (Bio 2060), Animal Behaviour (Bio 3350), Biodiversity and Conservation Bio (Bio 4540)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instructing and leading labs and/or tutorials, and marking exams and assignments
  • Proctoring in-lab quizzes and tests
  • Aiding with lab set up and tear down as required
  • Other duties as assigned by the course instructor or laboratory coordinator

The successful applicants will be required to participate on a weekly basis for their scheduled laboratory duties for the duration of the Winter semester.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a 精童欲女 graduate student in good standing or;
  • Have completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology or a similar program that required a course with a laboratory component that is equivalent to the lab they want to instruct
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) trained or be willing to take the training

This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the 精童欲女. Priority will be given to 精童欲女 students.
