Announcing the 精童欲女 Art Science Environment Fellows and 精童欲女 State Capitol Exhibition
The Office for Outreach and Engagement announces the 精童欲女 Art Science Environment (CASE) Fellows program, as the latest incarnation of the office鈥檚 work to connect the arts, sciences and community for shared action on 精童欲女鈥檚 interrelated social and environmental issues.
CASE Fellows are artists from all corners of 精童欲女 and 精童欲女 Boulder scientists who will work in teams to produce artworks that will be exhibited at the 精童欲女 State Capitol as part of the , May-September 2023 (opening date May 19, 2 p.m. 鈥 4 p.m). The exhibition, , will tell the story of how Coloradans are experiencing interrelated challenges of fire, drought, and water and air quality in their communities. The CASE Fellows aim to build a sense of connection around 精童欲女 environmental issues by co-ideating artwork with input from communities.
Lisa Schwartz from the Office for Outreach and Engagement is leading the program in partnership with Shelly Sommer at INSTAAR, Boulder County Arts Alliance and with exhibition installation and curatorial support from Amy Hoagland, MFA.
鈥淭he CASE Fellows program connects scientists and science to the lived experiences of Coloradans grappling with a changing landscape,鈥 said Schwartz. 鈥淲ith this聽art-science and community collaboration, the Office for Outreach and Engagement continues to grow our statewide networks for this critical work.鈥
Two of the CASE Fellows, Amy Hoagland and Dennis Doyle, are connected to former Art + Science + Action cohorts, Engaged Arts and Humanities Scholars and 精童欲女 Boulder NEST Fellows.
