Project Description:
Holly Miller is working with the Delta County Environmental Health Department to develop a GIS based tool to build a groundwater quality risk assessment map of six counties in western ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®.ÌýGroundwater is a primary source of drinking water in the region and private wells are unregulated in the state of ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®. The map will provide well owners with information about their drinking water quality.
Holly MillerÌýreceived my B.S. from the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Chemical Engineering Department in 2010.Ìý She has been working at INSTAAR as the Arikaree Environmental Laboratory Manager for the past 7 years.Ìý She is currently a M.S. candidate in the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering Department directed by Professor Joe Ryan.ÌýOn her free time, she enjoys the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® outdoors including hiking, skiing, rock climbing, white water rafting and fishing.
