ENVD Lecturer Presents Work at Campus Sustainability Summit
On April 18, 2019, Environmental Design Lecturer Danielle Bilot presented her praxis work at the Campus Sustainability Summit for the renovation of ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® parking lots and engaged new campus services into joining the efforts to promote bee diversity. During the recognition ceremony, Travis Torline, president of the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Bee Club, was awarded a Campus Sustainability Award for committed service and leadership within the club.
The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Bee Club, along with Bilot as faculty advisor, began last August and grew to hundreds of members across campus in less than a year. The club has participated in numerous volunteer events across the greater ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Campus, as well as the City of Boulder, including biodiversity planting days and converting campus cafés to use local honey.
