Samuel is a former park ranger and is an outdoor enthusiast who is passionate not only about being in nature, but also about having a healthy relationship with it. He has been car-free since 2009 and loves to walk and ride bikes to get around and to enjoy the outdoors. He has worked as a bike mechanic, mountain bike patroller, and education coordinator for a bicycle non-profit where he developed the education program. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Services at Metro State in Denver and his graduate certificate in Leadership and Management at ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®. Samuel, not only teaches and leads bike clinics, he alsoÌýmentors student staff who educate and empower others to make their own bike repairs, removing the barrier of a non-working bike. He manages the bike programÌýwith a focus on making cycling a viable and convenient option for more people. He is a Wilderness EMT and whenÌýnot on campus, you may see him riding his bike, running the trails, or taking photos.
