Emma Lawrence (they/them) is a PhD Candidate in Media Research and Practice at the University of ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Boulder. Their work considers participatory meaning-making, new materialism, and the nature of reality expressed through and within media. Prior to coming to ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®, Emma received their BA in English and film studies at King’s College London and their MA in cinema and media studies with a certificate in film archiving and preservation at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
